This award-winning trio – named after an ancient Persian poetic form – delivers a concert that transcends music, taking you on a journey across cultures and deep emotion.
On stage: the radiant tones of Sogol Mirzaei’s tar from Iran, the silky play of Farah Fersi’s qanun from Palestine, and the deep, melancholic sound of Marie-Suzanne de Loye’s viola da gamba from France. Together they weave a delicate tapestry of sound and verse.
Drawing from Persian, Arabic, and Baroque classical traditions, the Chakam Ensemble also performs their own compositions – full of soul and improvisation.
