The Garifuna Collective

The Garifuna are the Afro-Amerindians of Central America, the descendants of a group of West African slaves who were shipwrecked off the coast of St. Vincent in the 1600s. They live in small communities in places like Belize, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Honduras, along the Caribbean coast. The Garifuna music is embedded with African, Arawak, and Kalinago elements.

The Garifuna Collective is a seasoned collective of musicians from across different generations, and their performances spark the history and soul of Garifuna culture into vivid life.

The collective has performed in over 30 countries in 5 continents and have been part of the most celebrated Garifuna albums of all time.

The rhythms and tunes might linger in your head and feet for days after!
