The most iconic band in West Africa! Orchestra Baobab has been around since 1970 and is still quite an experience. With their local Senegalese sounds enriched with Afro-Cuban rhythms, Portuguese-Creole melodies and Congolese rumba, they bring timeless and vibrant grooves!
The Baobab orchestra unleashed a musical renaissance in Senegal. The band originated in the nightclubs of Dakar, where musicians from different countries met and filled the bar with a range of musical genres and a dancing crowd.
After a 20-year break, the group returned in 2002, at the insistence of their biggest fan, Youssou N’Dour. Since then they set stages worldwide on fire!
