Chapulines

Chapulines was created in 2019 after a musical encounter between Beto and Graciela at the Bacalar lagoon in Mexico. They were inspired by the “son jarocho” folk music from Veracruz, and mix it with Caribbean influences from Cuba and Colombia. Their repertoire is an lively and danceable mix of own compositions and interpretations of traditional songs.

At the end of last year they released their first EP “Bululú” and played release concerts in Belgium and Mexico. There they delved further into the son jarocho during a musical residency in Veracruz.

Come and listen to the result and continue the evening with a smile.
